Pete W. Moore is the M.A. Hanna Associate Professor of Politics at Case Western Reserve University, affiliated with the Department of Political Science and the Weatherhead School of Management. His research focuses on the political economy of security, militarization, and authoritarianism in the modern Middle East.

He serves on the Committee for Academic Freedom at the Middle East Studies Association and co-founded the Northeast Ohio Consortium for Middle East Studies. His publications appear in journals such as Middle East Report, Comparative Politics, and The Middle East Journal, and he is completing a book manuscript titled Jordan’s Long War: State Building and War Economies.
