Per Lunde

Per Lunde is Professor of Acoustics at the University of Bergen's Department of Physics and Technology. His research specializes in ultrasonic wave propagation, transducer design, and precision acoustical metrology. Recent work develops finite element models to characterize diffraction effects and transducer properties for gas flow measurement systems, with applications in subsea energy monitoring.

Lunde's publications address fundamental challenges in Lamb wave propagation, energy flux analysis, and transducer calibration. Collaborative projects with NORCE Norwegian Research Centre advance high-precision ultrasonic techniques for industrial applications, supported by the Research Council of Norway (Projects 303169, 309612).
