Professor Paymen Zarkesh-Ha is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico (UNM), part of the College of Engineering. He joined UNM in 2006 and holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2001), an MS from Sharif University of Technology (1994), and a BS from Iran University of Science and Technology (1992).
His research focuses on advanced VLSI systems design, including statistical modeling, low-power/high-performance architectures, and interconnect predictive models for nanoscale technologies. He has authored over 60 refereed papers and holds ten patents in this field. Currently, he serves on technical committees for the System Level Interconnect Prediction Workshop (SLIP) and International Symposium on Quality Electronic Design (ISQED).
Teaching interests include VLSI design methodologies, analog electronics, and foundational electronics courses. He is affiliated with the Center for High Technology Materials at UNM.
