Paul Williams

Associate Professor Paul Williams is an academic and creative writer affiliated with the School of Business and Creative Industries at the University of the Sunshine Coast. He holds a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Wisconsin and degrees from the University of Natal (MA and BA). His research focuses on postcolonial narratives, creative writing pedagogies, and transcultural storytelling. Notable works include Soldier Blue (Book of the Year nominee) and Don’t Tell (gaslighting-themed psychological thriller). Paul leads projects such as the Indigenous and Transcultural Research Centre’s Wandiny Poetry Project and has secured grants like the $120,000 HERDC-funded 'Australian Authors and their Marketing Knowledge' study. He has received awards including the TRIO Teaching Award and the Zimbabwe International Book Fair Award.
