Paul Marx

Paul Marx is a Part-Time Professor at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU), affiliated with the Department of Political Science and Public Management under the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. His research focuses on comparative welfare state analysis, political sociology, and political economy. Key areas include political participation, inequality, social exclusion, and reform politics.

Current research projects address technological change's impact on work, cultural foundations of political preferences, psychological effects of labor market experiences, youth unemployment's political implications, economic shocks and antidepressant use, and socio-economic factors influencing populist susceptibility. Marx's work bridges political theory with empirical analysis of modern societal challenges.
