Paul Lambert

Professor Paul Lambert is affiliated with the School of Sociology, Social Policy & Criminology at the University of Stirling, where he has worked since 2003. He previously held positions at Cardiff University and Lancaster University. His expertise lies in quantitative data analysis, social stratification, and occupation-based social classifications like CAMSIS.

• Research interests include social stratification, ethnicity and immigration, and methodological innovations for large-scale survey datasets.
• He leads the Social Surveys and Social Statistics research group and organizes the Social Stratification Research Seminar in collaboration with institutions like Cambridge and Utrecht.

His teaching includes social statistics, multilevel modeling, and social stratification. Current and former PhD students explore topics such as inequalities in physiological wear-and-tear, intersectionality, and employment barriers for people with disabilities.
