Paul Avillach

Dr. Paul Avillach is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School, with a joint appointment in Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He leads research at Boston Children's Hospital focusing on computational approaches to integrate heterogeneous clinical and genomic data.

His research develops novel methods for:

• Multi-omics data integration
• Electronic health record analytics
• Rare disease registry development
• Patient-centered information systems

Dr. Avillach directs several large-scale initiatives including the BD2K PIC-SURE Center of Excellence, Global Rare Diseases Registry, and PCORI-funded projects on Phelan-McDermid Syndrome. His work enables discovery across biological scales through standardized data unification frameworks.
