Paul Aron

Paul Aron is a Professor of Literature at the Free University of Brussels (ULB) and serves as a research director at the FNRS (National Fund for Scientific Research). His academic work centers exclusively on Brussels, focusing on the city's cultural and literary historical landscape through institutional affiliations with both ULB and Belgium's national research body.

His research specializes in Theater History, Literary History, and Literary Geography, with particular emphasis on Brussels as a literary and theatrical nexus. Aron co-edited the 2015 Textyles journal issue (volume 47) titled "Brussels, a literary geography" with Laurence Brogniez and has published multiple articles analyzing writers connected to the city. He authored the republished 2018 monograph "Histoire du théâtre belge de langue française" (Espace Nord collection) and is currently co-authoring a new book on Brussels and literature with Brogniez for Les Impressions nouvelles.
