About
Patrick Waters is an Associate Professor at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Oxford. As Co-Director of the Autoimmune Neurology Diagnostic Laboratory, he specializes in CNS autoimmunity, assay development, and antibody cloning. His work bridges clinical neuroimmunology with translational research, supported by collaborations with NHS Specialised Services and the Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation.
His research interests focus on antibody-mediated central nervous system diseases, including:

- Optimization of serological assays for patient diagnostics
