Pat Forgione

Pat Forgione is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Concordia University. He supervises students in Chemistry (MSc) and Chemistry (PhD) programs, focusing on synthetic organic chemistry and its applications.

• Education: BSc from University of Waterloo, PhD from University of Ottawa, and postdoctoral training at The Ohio State University.

Research Interests: His work spans Organic Chemistry, Green Chemistry, and Catalysis, with applications in Drug Discovery, Anti-Cancer Agents, and Biomass conversion. He explores thiophenes, furans, and next-generation platform chemicals for sustainable materials.
