Paraskevas Vassalos

Dr. Paraskevas Vassalos (often called Paris) is a Professor at the Department of Informatics, School of Informatics and Telematics, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He has been a Lecturer at AUEB since 2006 and currently serves as Director of the Inter-Institutional Graduate Program (IMGP) "Mathematics of Markets and Production" since 2018.

His research focuses on Numerical Analysis, particularly the numerical solution of linear systems, spectral analysis of matrices, and differential equations. His work has been published in over 25 prestigious journals, including Numerische Mathematik and SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing. He has participated in more than 30 international conferences, often as an invited speaker, and serves as a scientific director for Greek and international research projects.
