Professor Paramala Santosh is a Professor of Developmental Neuropsychiatry and Psychopharmacology at King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), and a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Maudsley Hospital. He leads the Centre for Interventional Paediatric Psychopharmacology Research Team (CIPPRT) and the CIPP Rett Centre, the world’s first personalized medicine initiative for Rett Syndrome. He co-developed the GDPR-compliant HealthTrackerTM platform and serves as CEO of HealthTracker Ltd.

His research focuses on translational approaches in rare diseases (Rett syndrome, MPS syndromes), treatment-resistant developmental disorders, and neuropsychiatric challenges in pediatric populations. Key interests include digital health monitoring, sensor-based psychophysiological assessment, and machine learning applications in medicine.
Current projects include:
- ATTENS: Evaluating eTNS for ADHD symptom improvement
- Children of UPBEAT: Investigating cardiovascular health in offspring of obese mothers
He is an editorial advisor for BMC Pediatrics and contributes to the European ADHD Guideline Group (EAGG). Awards include the 2022 ACAMH Awards for his research contributions.
