Paolo Gamba

Paolo Gamba is Full Professor of Telecommunications at University of Pavia, Italy. He obtained his Laurea degree cum laude (1989) and PhD (1993) in Electronic Engineering from University of Pavia. As IEEE and IAPR Fellow, he has held leadership roles including Editor-in-Chief of IEEE GRSL and GRSS President.

Research focuses on Earth observation, SAR data fusion, wireless sensor networks, and risk exposure assessment. He has published over 150 journal papers and 300 conference works.

International activities include Visiting Professorships in Brazil (PUC-Rio 2014, UFAL 2017), ERASMUS lectures in Spain/Argentina/Israel, and current role as Rector's Delegate for Americas Internationalization.
