Michele Rostan is an Associate Professor of Economic Sociology at the University of Pavia, Italy, and Director of the CIRSIS Centre for Higher Education Systems Research. He also serves as Rector’s Delegate for Student Affairs. His academic career includes roles as Researcher/Assistant Professor (1999-2007) and Research Fellow (1999) at the University of Pavia. He holds a PhD in Sociology (1992, joint program with Universities of Milan, Turin, and Pavia) and a Laurea cum laude in Economics (1987).
