Prof. Dott. Arch. Paolo Fusi is a Professor of Urban Design at HafenCity University Hamburg. His work focuses on urban morphology, architectural theory, and sustainable design, particularly in transforming existing urban structures and developing innovative campus scenarios. He teaches urban design theory, fundamentals of design, and methods of visual representation.
Paolo Fusi leads the DFG graduate school Urban future-making: Professional agency across time and scale and collaborates internationally, notably with the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago through the Urban Corridors initiative. His research explores the intersection of urban design, sustainability, and social inclusivity, addressing challenges like intelligent densification and adaptive reuse of buildings.
