Federica Fusi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at VU Amsterdam, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities and the New Public Governance (NPG) program. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. Her PhD in Public Administration & Policy was awarded by Arizona State University in 2018.
Her research focuses on government digitalization, examining technologies like cybersecurity, open data portals, and e-voting, with an emphasis on equitable outcomes. Key interests include environmental justice, public interest technology, and governance. Her work has been supported by the US National Science Foundation and the Institute for Policy and Civic Engagement.
