Paola Conconi is the BP Professor of Economics (Statutory Chair) at the University of Oxford and a Professorial Fellow at New College Oxford. Previously, she held professorial roles at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and was affiliated with ECARES. She holds degrees from the University of Bologna (B.A. Political Science), Johns Hopkins SAIS (M.A. International Relations), and the University of Warwick (M.Sc./Ph.D. Economics).
Her research focuses on international trade, political economy, and firm organization, with emphasis on global value chains and trade agreements. She leads the CEPR Research Network on Global Value Chains and directs an ERC-funded project on 'Trade Agreements and Supply Chains' (TRASC), exploring interactions between trade policies and production networks.
