About
Paige E. Rice is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Wake Forest University. She holds a PhD in Exercise Science from Edith Cowan University and completed postdoctoral work at Wake Forest. Her research expertise centers on biomechanics and the influence of muscle power on clinical and performance variables in healthy and aging populations.
Rice has conducted significant research with dancers and older adults, using dance as therapeutic intervention. Her work examines neuromuscular biomechanics to understand mechanisms influencing health and performance outcomes in populations with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal challenges. Current research focuses on developing dance-based interventions for older adults and studying muscle mechanics through innovative techniques like micro-biopsies.
