Pacho Flores serves as the International Visiting Professor of Trumpet at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). A world-renowned trumpeter, he has won top prizes in prestigious competitions including the Maurice André, Philip Jones, and Cittá di Porcia contests. His career spans solo performances with orchestras such as the Philharmonic Orchestra of Kiev, NHK Orchestra (Japan), and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela. Flores is a founding member of the Simón Bolívar Brass Quintet and has held leading roles in orchestras under conductors like Claudio Abbado and Gustavo Dudamel.
He established the Latin-American Trumpet Academy to nurture emerging talent and actively promotes contemporary music through premieres of works by composers such as Roger Boutry and Giancarlo Castro. His recordings, including Entropía (Gold Medal, Global Music Awards) and Fractales, are released under Deutsche Grammophon. Flores collaborates with instrument manufacturer Stomvi, contributing to design innovations.
Notable achievements include performances at Carnegie Hall and the Musikverein in Vienna, as well as a concerto debut at the Salzburg Festival. His pedagogical contributions and artistic collaborations underscore his influence in classical and contemporary brass performance.
