János Pach is a distinguished academic holding the Chair of Combinatorial Geometry at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) since 2008. He is also a long-term Research Advisor at the Rényi Institute of Mathematics in Budapest (since 1977).
