Pablo Cabezas Sainz

Pablo Cabezas Sainz is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physiology within the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is affiliated with the Strategic Grouping in Sustainable Management and Production of Bioresources (BioReDes) and the ACUIGEN research group, focusing on genetics for aquaculture and resource conservation.

• Education: PhD in Biomedical Sciences (2019) from the University of Santiago de Compostela, with a thesis on tumor microenvironment and metastasis using zebrafish models.

Research Interests: His work bridges physiology and genetics, particularly in aquaculture applications and cancer biology. He investigates tumor growth and metastasis mechanisms using zebrafish as a model organism, emphasizing the role of the microenvironment.
