P. Sang Chalacheva is an Assistant Teaching Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering. She holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University (2007), M.S. (2010) and Ph.D. (2014) in Biomedical Engineering from University of Southern California.
Her research focuses on computational modeling of cardiovascular autonomic control in sickle cell disease and sleep-related breathing disorders. She develops models to understand autonomic dysfunction and identify biophysical markers correlated with clinical outcomes.
Her awards include NSF Fellowship and IEEE Student Paper Competition Finalist.
