Ourania Tsitsilonis

Ourania Tsitsilonis is a Visiting Professor specializing in Tumor Immunology at the School of Sciences. She holds a PhD in Immunology and Medical degrees from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Her career includes postdoctoral research at the University of Tuebingen, clinical work at St. Savas Cancer Hospital, and faculty positions at NKUA.

Research focuses on tumor immunology, cancer biomarkers, and therapeutic development. Her work spans molecular diagnostics, immunotherapeutic strategies, and novel anticancer agents derived from natural products.

Publications consistently demonstrate expertise in hematological malignancies, molecular imaging, and inflammatory response mechanisms. Recent work emphasizes minimal residual disease detection and immune system modulation for cancer treatment.
