Ou Lin

Dr. Ou Lin joined Lancaster Law School as a Lecturer in Employment Law in September 2023. She holds dual PhDs: one in Law from the University of Glasgow (2023) funded by the European Research Council, and another in Law and Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

Her research focuses on platform work regulation, precarious employment, and socio-legal interactions in China's on-demand economy. She employs both doctrinal analysis and socio-legal methods to study labor law dynamics.

Recent publications analyze legal consciousness among Chinese food delivery riders and migrant workers' employment preferences. All her 2025 works center on platform labor challenges in the Chinese context.
