Othon Anastasakis is a Senior Research Fellow at St Antony’s College and Director of the European Studies Centre and South East European Studies at Oxford (SEESOX). He holds affiliations with the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies (OSGA) and the Department of Politics and International Relations. His roles include teaching South East European Politics and EU Politics. He leads research projects on the Greek diaspora and EU-Turkey relations, funded by OX/BER. Anastasakis earned degrees from the University of Athens, Columbia University, and the London School of Economics, with additional studies in French and Spanish literature and history.

Publications Highlights: Recent works include The Greek Military Dictatorship (2021) and Diaspora Engagement in Times of Crisis (2022). He has authored over 50 articles and chapters on topics ranging from EU conditionality to migration diplomacy.
Grants & Projects: Principal Investigator for the Greek Diaspora Project and Migration Diplomacy initiatives. His research bridges academic rigor with policy relevance, addressing contemporary challenges in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.
