Onur Ergen

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Onur Ergen is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Istanbul Technical University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. His research spans Condensed Matter Physics, Nanotechnology, Material Physics, Electronics, and Energy Storage, with a focus on advanced materials for next-generation batteries.

His recent publications highlight innovations in borophene aerogels, quantum coherence optimization, and battery-free sensing. He has secured prestigious awards including the ERC Starting Grant (2022), TUBA-GEIP (2022), and multiple Seal of Excellence grants from the European Commission (2019, 2020).
