Onnesha Roychoudhuri

Onnesha Roychoudhuri is an Assistant Professor of English at Colby College, based in Miller Library 223. She teaches courses including Language, Thought, and Writing: Introduction to Creative Writing (EN178), Creative Nonfiction Writing I (EN280), and Change the Story: Writing and Social Justice (EN380). A journalist, essayist, and performer, her interdisciplinary work bridges literary arts and social activism.

Research Focus: Her expertise spans creative nonfiction, narrative journalism, and the intersection of writing with societal change. She explores themes like power dynamics, truth in media, and marginalized voices, as reflected in her book The Marginalized Majority: Claiming Our Power in a Post-Truth America.
