Onesimo Sandoval

Onesimo Sandoval, Ph.D., is a Professor at Saint Louis University, affiliated with the Department of Sociology & Anthropology within the College of Arts and Sciences. He serves as Director of the MS Sociology Program and Co-Director of the Public and Social Policy Ph.D. Program. His research focuses on spatial hierarchies of inequality in urban contexts, leveraging demography, computational spatial statistics, GISc, and forensic geospatial methods. He leads initiatives like Demography 4 Democracy (D4D) and Coding for Spatial Justice (CSJ), empowering communities to address systemic inequities.

Education: Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of California-Berkeley.
