About
Olle Eriksson is a Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Uppsala University, specializing in Materials Theory. He has held this position since 2002 and serves as a Core Group member and LINXS Fellow in the Quantum Materials theme. His research employs first-principles computational methods to study magnetism, chemical bonding, lattice dynamics, and phase stability at finite temperatures. He is also Co-Director of the WISE (Wallenberg Initiative on Sustainable Materials) network, a project supported by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
Eriksson's work bridges theoretical frameworks with experimental neutron and X-ray science at facilities like ESS and MAX IV. His focus on sustainable materials aligns with interdisciplinary efforts to address material science challenges through advanced computational modeling.
