Previously, he was Associate Director for Research (2017-2023) and Undergraduate Admissions Tutor for Environmental Science degrees.
His research focuses on atmospheric composition and chemistry, particularly modeling intercontinental transport of ozone and its precursors, indirect climate impacts of short-lived gases (NOx, CO), and Earth System interactions. He contributes to international policy through the UN-ECE HTAP task force and has participated in IPCC climate assessments (2001, 2007, 2013).
