Veronika Eyring

Veronika Eyring is a Professor and Chair of Climate Modelling at the University of Bremen's Institute of Environmental Physics (IUP) and Head of the Earth System Model Evaluation and Analysis Department at DLR's Institute of Atmospheric Physics. She specializes in improving climate models using machine learning and observational data, contributing to IPCC assessments and leading initiatives like the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP). Her research focuses on actionable climate science for policy and technology, including emergent constraints and model evaluation tools like ESMValTool.

Education: PhD in Physics (1999), Habilitation in Environmental Physics (2008), both from the University of Bremen.
