Olga Siskou

Olga Siskou is an Assistant Professor of Health Economics, Tourism and Migration at the Department of Tourism Studies, School of Economics, Business and International Studies, University of Piraeus. She holds a PhD in Health Services Organization and Management from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2006) and was elected to her current position in May 2021.

Dr. Siskou serves as Deputy Academic Coordinator for the ERASMUS+ Program (2023-2024) after previously serving as Academic Coordinator (2022-2023). She is currently supervising three doctoral theses at the Department of Tourism. Her research spans Health Economics, Tourism Economics, and Health Services Management with over 120 peer-reviewed publications that have garnered 2071 citations (as of October 8, 2023) with an h-index of 23 and i10 index of 35.

She maintains significant external roles including National Representative to the OECD Health Committee (2008-2016 and 2019-present), expert at the Health Quality Assurance Organization (OHQA) since May 2021, and alternate member of the National Committee of Public Health Experts since November 2021.
