Panagiotakis Spyridon

Spyridon Panagiotakis is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECCE) of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (HMU), specializing in 'Penetrating Networks and Service Infrastructures.' Since 2019, he has served as Head of the Department of Telecommunications and Information Technology. He holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), focusing on dynamic context-aware service provision in mobile networks. His academic roles include teaching courses such as 'Computer Networks I,' 'Internet of Things,' and 'Network and Telecommunications Security' at the undergraduate level, and 'Advanced Topics in Networking' at the postgraduate level.

Research interests span pervasive computing, sensor networks, IoT, mobile communications, and their applications in education. He has authored over 90 publications, achieving an h-index of 14 and i10-index of 23.

He has supervised 13 postgraduate and over 30 undergraduate theses. Active in academic service, he participates in organizing international conferences, reviews for journals, and coordinates initiatives like the Panhellenic Educational Robotics Competition in Crete.
