Olaf Berlien

Prof. Dr. Olaf Berlien holds a professorship at the Institute for Technology and Management (FG TIM) at the Technical University of Berlin, Faculty VII - Economics and Management. He concurrently serves as President and CEO of INNIO since October 2021, following his tenure as President and CEO of Osram AG (2015–2021), where he led its transformation into a global leader in lighting and sensor solutions. His career includes leadership roles at Exyte AG, ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG, ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG, and as CFO of Carl Zeiss AG. He began his professional journey at IBM in 1988.

Prof. Berlien’s expertise spans technology-driven business transformation, cross-industry innovation, and strategic leadership. His academic focus aligns with his industrial experience, emphasizing technology management, organizational change, and sustainable industrial practices. He earned a degree in business administration and a doctorate from the Technical University of Berlin.
