Dr. Norm Friesen is the Canada Research Chair in E-Learning Practices at Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, Canada. His work focuses on media pedagogy, educational technology, and phenomenological approaches to learning. He holds a Master’s from Johns Hopkins University and a PhD in Education from the University of Alberta.
Research interests include e-learning standards (e.g., CanCore), Web 2.0 integration, media literacy, and the philosophical underpinnings of technology in education.
