Professor Ben-Asher’s research explores intersections of law with social justice movements, gender identity, reproductive rights, and trauma-centered justice frameworks. Their work critically examines legal responses to contemporary issues such as Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, and policies restricting gender-affirming care. They advocate for inclusive legal frameworks that address systemic inequities rooted in gender, race, and sexuality.
Recent scholarship highlights debates over emergency powers, the political theology of crisis justice, and family law reform. Their writing often bridges theory and practice, aiming to inform equitable legal and social policies.
