Nisha Ranjan

Dr. Nisha Ranjan is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, University of Freiburg, affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence liv MatS @ FIT. Her research focuses on understanding charge separation mechanisms in triboelectric materials to enhance energy-harvesting applications. She employs advanced techniques such as Atomic Force Microscopy and X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy to study interfacial charge dynamics.

Her project aims to maximize the efficiency of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) by exploring functional materials and charge-generation processes. Dr. Ranjan is supervised by Dr. Bizan N. Balzer. She is actively involved in interdisciplinary collaborations, contributing to adaptive material systems research within the liv MatS cluster, which bridges materials science and bioinspired technologies.
