Ning Leng is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy and incoming Wilson China Fellow. Her research examines how authoritarian institutions shape state-business relations and development outcomes in China and globally.
Her forthcoming book 'Politicizing Business' analyzes how Chinese firms are compelled to provide political services to the party-state. Current fieldwork investigates Chinese corporate strategies and impacts in South America.
Research has been supported by NSF, Georgetown Americas Institute, and Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation. She earned her PhD in Political Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard's Ash Center.
