Nikki Roulo

Nikki Roulo is a Lecturer at the Program in the Environment at the University of Michigan. Her work focuses on the environmental humanities, particularly the intellectual history of the environment and early modern literature’s engagement with nature.

Her research explores how historical depictions of nature shape contemporary environmental ethics and sustainability discourse. She teaches courses like ENVIRON 304: Nature and the Ethics of Intervention and ENVIRON 245: History of Sustainability and Zero Waste Movements.
