Nidhi Gandhi

Nidhi Gandhi is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of English at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (City University of New York). She holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The City College of New York (2023) and dual B.A. degrees in Writing Studies Composition and English (Creative Writing and Literature concentration) from Hofstra University (2021). Her teaching includes English 101 and 201 courses.

Her research explores:

• Translingual approaches to writing
• Curriculum design through Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC)
• Transfer theory in composition studies
• Multimodal composing strategies
• Writing center administration and pedagogy

She plans to pursue a PhD in Composition/Rhetoric.

Her publications focus on writing pedagogy, academic identity, and undergraduate research experiences, with recurring themes of educational equity and student-centered methodologies.

She mentors at the Naylor Workshop for Undergraduate Research and maintains memberships in NCTE, CCCC, and MAWCA.
