Nicole Stargell

Nicole A. Stargell, PhD, is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She serves as the Department of Counseling Testing Coordinator and co-Advisor for the Phi Sigma Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota. Her clinical licenses include LCMHC (Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor), LSC (Licensed School Counselor), and NCC (National Certified Counselor). Dr. Stargell's expertise focuses on counseling children/adolescents, grief/loss interventions, multicultural counseling, and DSM diagnostic practices.

Her research emphasizes outcome effectiveness in counseling interventions, school safety partnerships, and creative supervision techniques to foster counselor development.
