Jake Protivnak is a Distinguished Professor and Counseling Program Director in the Department of Psychological Sciences and Counseling at Youngstown State University (YSU). He holds licenses as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC-S) and School Counselor (LPSC), and is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). With over 20 years’ experience, his expertise spans counselor education, clinical mental health, school counseling, and adolescent development. He has authored 20+ journal articles, 30+ book chapters, and presented 100+ times nationally.
