Nicole Milman-Doerr is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Copenhagen, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences. She joined in 2016 after roles at Harvard University and Mount Holyoke College. Her research focuses on visual digital sociology, climate activism, democracy, migration, and far-right movements. She directs the CoMMonS Research Center and participates in the Culture and Civil Society research group.

Research Interests: Milman-Doerr employs visual and digital methods to study public debates around migration, climate change, and democracy. Her work analyzes far-right digital mobilization, queer/feminist grassroots coalitions, and political translation processes in social movements. Recent projects include analyzing far-right online imagery and climate activism's role in local democratic innovation.
