Nicola Sharp-Jeffs

Dr Nicola Sharp-Jeffs is a Research Fellow at London Metropolitan University's Child and Women Abuse Studies Unit (CWASU). She has worked in the violence against women and girls sector since 2006, focusing on economic abuse, coercive control, and recovery from domestic violence. Her research explores intersections between missing persons, forced marriage, and child sexual exploitation.

Her work includes longitudinal studies on post-domestic violence recovery, financial abuse analysis, and contributions to domestic homicide reviews. She has authored publications on topics such as:

Her research has been supported by grants like the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust fellowship. She has presented at conferences and provided evidence to parliamentary committees on forced marriage and domestic violence.
