Nicki Amos is a Lecturer in the Management Department at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts Amherst (2024–present). Previously, she served as Associate Professor (2020–2024) and Assistant Professor (2016–2020) of Management at Johnson & Wales University. Her research focuses on employee motivation, recruitment strategies, leadership practices, and workforce development. She holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership (dissertation in progress) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an MBA from UMass Amherst (2006), and a BA in Politics from Framingham State University (2000).
Her teaching expertise spans Human Resource Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, and Training & Development. She received the 2023 Best Outstanding Compact Case award from The Case Centre, UK for Alice’s Maternity Leave: Beneficial Leave or Left Behind? Her publications address contemporary HR challenges, including maternity leave policies, workplace cyberbullying, and bullying dynamics through chaos theory.
Her academic career combines teaching, research on HR practices, and contributions to case studies that bridge theory and real-world management scenarios.
