Nick Fletcher

Nick Fletcher L.T.C.L. is an Instrumental Tutor (Classical Guitar) at the School of Languages, Arts and Societies, University of Sheffield. He is a leading composer-performer with over 80 published compositions and 8 solo CD recordings. His career spans classical performances globally (e.g., South Bank Centre) and session work in rock/jazz bands. He teaches classical, jazz, rock, and folk guitar with nearly 40 years of experience.

His research interests include classical guitar techniques, composition for string instruments, and cross-genre musical pedagogy. His work blends technical precision with artistic innovation, often exploring cultural fusion, as seen in collaborations with Chinese Erhu player Ling Peng.
