Alex Roche

Alex Roche is a Guitar & Band Tutor at Guildhall Young Artists Taunton, part of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. A multi-prize-winning guitarist and educator, he specializes in classical and contemporary performance across diverse genres.

• Bachelor's (1st Class): Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
• Master's (Distinction): Trinity Laban Conservatoire (Leverhulme Trust Scholar)

Research interests focus on reviving neglected classical works, such as the world premiere of William Lloyd-Webber's lost guitar piece, and promoting contemporary compositions through performances with Sabino de Bari and Marisa Lopez. Active in cross-genre collaborations, including duo work with mezzo-soprano Samantha Oxborough at venues like the Royal Albert Hall.

Award-winning performer with international engagements in Taiwan, Canada, USA, and the Cayman Islands. Recognized for orchestral pit work, jazz ensembles, and rock/funk bands across multiple instruments (electric guitar, drum kit, banjo).
