Professor Nicholas Reyland is the Head of Undergraduate Programmes at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), leading curriculum development and academic supervision. He holds a PhD, MMus, and BMus (Hons) from Surrey University, the Royal College of Music, and Cardiff University. His research focuses on film/TV music and sound design, Polish music (particularly Witold Lutosławski), and 20th-century music analysis. Key projects include the AHRC-funded Lutosławski’s Worlds and co-editing The Palgrave Handbook of Music and Sound in Peak TV.
