Nicholas Granado

Nicholas Granado is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Accounting at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), affiliated with the Alvarez College of Business. He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and is a licensed CPA.

Prior to academia, he served in leadership roles at the IRS, developing tax guidance and leading technical advisory teams for the LB&I division. Earlier, he worked as a Tax Managing Director at KPMG, advising multinational firms on international tax strategies. His teaching spans undergraduate courses like Introduction to Taxation and Business Law, as well as graduate courses in Advanced Taxation, International Taxation, Tax Research Methods, and Taxation of Flow-through Entities. He also taught at the University of Virginia and Azusa Pacific University.

His professional experience bridges tax law, compliance, and multinational business strategy, reflected in his academic focus areas.
