Nelson Estrada

Nelson Estrada (known as Kuya Nelson) is an Associate Professor of New Testament and Biblical Hermeneutics at Asia Baptist Graduate School (ABTS) in Bangkok, Thailand. Originally from the Philippines, he relocated from the United States and brings 20 years of pastoral experience in the US and Canada to his academic work.

• Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from University of Sheffield, UK (2002)
• Master of Theology, Master of Arts, and Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies

Research Focus: Estrada's work centers on biblical hermeneutics and New Testament studies, particularly early Christian leadership dynamics. His book From Followers to Leaders examines apostolic status transformation rituals in Acts 1-2. He actively presents at international theological conferences and teaches Christian seminars across Europe, North America, and Asia.
